Bartolome Island
For many people, Bartolome is one of their favorite islands. Maybe it is because of the fact that we started our day very early in the morning, and the early hours are always the best. The sun is a few degrees above the horizon, and the colors of this barren island shine with the freshness of the first rays.
Maybe it is because we have to put a lot of energy into the walk, so we endure the price to get to the top. It is 375 steps, but the reward is absolute. One feels as though one has worked hard for a deserved gift. Today’s breakfast is also a good and earned recompense after such a hike.
Of the many people who love the snorkeling, this island becomes one of their favorite sites. It is the calmness of the sea, the underwater topography and the many fish, together with a few penguins that from time to time also tend to show up.
There is a beautiful sand dune that keeps secret a magnificent beach on the other side of the island. Visitors commune with nature in the solitude of this hidden and gorgeous beach.
