The Cove Lounge is at the heart of your Galápagos experience. Each day, you’ll convene for daily Recaps, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and lectures from your naturalists on a plethora of topics related to the islands’ wildlife, geology and more.

The Observation Deck aboard the National Geographic Islander II is a natural gathering place—offering sweeping views of the islands, a plunge pool for refreshing dips, hammocks for relaxing between excursions and an outdoor shower for your post-swim rinse.

Outdoor viewing spaces extend across the ship, from the promenade deck to the stern of the main deck—inviting you to step out at any moment for fresh perspectives, whether scanning the horizon for wildlife or taking in the shifting coastal landscapes.

Guests are welcome on the open Bridge nearly any time of day—an opportunity to connect with the ship’s officers, learn about navigation from the captain and join naturalists in spotting passing wildlife, from bottlenose dolphins riding the bow wake to sea lions moving through the surrounding waters.
