Nancy Galvan

Nancy is an Assistant Expedition Leader with National Geographic–Lindblad Expeditions, bringing more than a decade of experience in expedition travel. Over the years, she has held a variety of roles, including extensive experience leading and supporting guests on Private Jet Expeditions. Her work has taken her around the world, providing opportunities to explore and work in some of the planet’s most remote destinations.


Nancy grew up in Evanston, Illinois and attended Loyola University Chicago. Her interest in travel began with a high school service trip to Costa Rica, which introduced her to exploring new places and learning from different cultures and environments. Since then, she has traveled to more than 70 countries across all seven continents, gaining firsthand experience in a wide range of landscapes, climates and cultures. She has a particular interest in destinations that offer opportunities to spend time outdoors and experience the natural world firsthand.


Outside of work, Nancy volunteers as a scuba diver with the Marine Mammal Department at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. She is also a certified Divemaster and enjoys scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and exploring the outdoors. Whether underwater, on a trail or traveling to a new part of the world, Nancy continues to seek opportunities to experience new places and environments.
