Marco Jimenez
Marco was born and raised in the Galápagos Islands, where he developed a strong connection with nature from an early age, growing up surrounded by the unique wildlife and landscapes that make the archipelago so special. This experience led him to pursue a career in biology, participating in research, environmental monitoring, and conservation projects throughout the islands. His work has given him valuable field experience, and a practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities involved in protecting these ecosystems.
Over the years, he has also worked as a teacher, sharing his knowledge and experiences with students and visitors. One of his greatest passions is birdwatching, especially observing the endemic species of Galápagos in their natural habitats. Whether working in conservation, education, or guiding others through the islands, he enjoys helping people better understand and appreciate the biodiversity that makes Galápagos unique.
