Nearly every National Park in the U.S. is easy to visit—just get in a car and go. Channel Islands National Park, five islands cupped within the span between Santa Barbara and the L.A. neighborhood of San Pedro, is a different story. Miles of ocean separate it from the Southern California mainland, and half of the park sits underwater. So being able to get there effortlessly, to move freely around the islands leisurely and in genuine comfort, and be able to explore the land and undersea, is what makes our new 5-day Base Camp getaway unique.
