May 27, 2019 - National Geographic Islander
A few minutes after waking, I felt and heard the drop of the anchor and chain, signaling we had arrived at our morning’s destination. Bartholomew Island is a small little island that is geologically part of larger Santiago Island next door. The landscape is a mix of brown, beige, black and yellow, with bright green plant highlights here and there. The afternoon was spent at Rábida Island – all bright reds and greens and silver and blues – blue water, blue sky. Complementary colors abounded.
