To be several hundred miles from land in the middle of the Southern Ocean is a very special wilderness experience. This area is so remote, so inhospitable to us, yet it is home for the albatrosses. Today we bundled up in our warmest clothes, armed with optics and cameras. We gathered on the aft deck and shared some special moments with the seabirds as they glided effortlessly by the ship.
